How to make a passport photo
- Take a photo against a plain, light wall in even light, looking straight at the camera.
- Add the photo and choose the size you need.
- Drag and zoom until your face fits the oval guide.
- Download the digital photo, or the A4 sheet and print it at 100% scale.
Tips for a photo that is accepted
- Plain white or light grey background with no shadows or patterns.
- Face the camera, keep a neutral expression with your mouth closed and both eyes open.
- No hats or sunglasses. Avoid glare on glasses, or take them off.
- The photo should be sharp, recent and in colour, without filters or editing.
What size is a biometric photo in Türkiye?
Passports, ID cards and driving licences use 50×60 mm biometric photos. Always check the current rules of the office you apply to, as requirements can change.
How do I print the photos at the right size?
Open the A4 PDF and choose 100% or "Actual size" in the print window. Do not use "Fit to page". Photo paper gives the best result.
Can I get prints at a photo shop?
Yes. Take the digital JPG or the A4 PDF to a photo shop or print centre.
Can this tool change my background?
No. It crops, straightens and brightens your photo. For the best result, take the photo in front of a plain light wall.
